Hi, I have a PF-69 UCAM 1993 ASE in my full proof set that is beginning to show some tiny tone spots all over it (front and back). I recently noticed that the capsule has a small crack in the top of it (see picture between thumb and index finger). I don't know how it got a crack considering I never take them out of the box? Is the air leaking inside causing this tone? What service should I request from NGC? Will this hurt my rating of pf-69 (the tone spots are super tiny but numerous)
Is there air leaking out??? These things are never air tight. The crack is just there. If it bothers you enough, either submit it for a reholdering or just crack it out.
My camera can't capture them. They're all over the coin, like super tiny chicken pox. They look blue-ish
I'm no expert but i prefer blue toning over normal shine. It may even be worth more than it was before if it starts turning other rainbow colors.
