So you are telling me that you don't know that is Detecto's new website as announced on CU? Come on! Ok it is a legitimate question, which I suspect may have other intentions, so caution is they key here. Since it has only been on for 2 days, I doubt anyone has completed any deals with him.

First off, I have bought from Tim once, when he had paypal. The transaction was good.
Now I may have to ask you please do not intern for him!

I can see that he made the website with a paid membership Weebly account.

You can always just open an ecrater account. It is much easier, everything is done for you. I made a site using existing scripts from another site I did just to practice but it needs some aesthetic work and shopping cart software and a domain name. Plus you need extensive advertising to drive people to your site. Adding it to Google and Yahoo isn't really enough. You need some SEO work along with an advertising budget. Posting to a for sale section on message boards isn't enough. All that requires an extensive budget even if you can do all the scripts yourself. A lot easier just selling on Ebay, which has built in everything.
Nothing against what Detecto is doing, good luck to him but if he wants to do all that, he can go to a community college and learn how to do it all. He is young and belongs in college since he doesn't have that much going on anyhow. Not that I encourage people to go into web development, it is off-shored heavily.

WHAT'S WITH YOU PEOPLE? This forum is not about one lost member. It's about coins, currency and related stuff. I'm getting annoyed to read about a banned member in a thread that has nothing to do with him.

Just let him go. He'll be back, and then you can worship him if you please. But for now, spare us the verbal tripe about him, until he returns,

At the moment he is a regular member ( posting is not a requirement) and is protected by the rules as are all here. I hope it is true that he has found a new home and that he fits in better there, but please don't get any infraction or worse due to a ghost member who isn't even posting. Thanks

I don't know what you mean. Someone asked if anyone bought coins from a site and turned out it is Detecto's site. That is why he was brought up. I don't think the OP knew that it was Detecto's site. Nowhere was it mentioned about Detecto not posting. Many members here are on numerous boards.

To answer the OP question though, I am always reluctant to paying for things with money orders online because of the lack of protection that is offered by credit card companies and e-wallets like Paypal. Shipping time is also longer. I have paid for a coin with a money order with favorable results but at a site where the seller had feedback from many people. I bought this coin from Wensy for $18.

He lists exactly 4 coins for sale. I especially like his Caped Bust type collection, consisting of 1 Caped Bust half.

I tried to behave, but there were too many other options.

Hmmm, I also have a capped bust collection. Here it is. This is it. I never knew this one coin was a "collection".

I think it is good he developed an interest in E-Commerce though, maybe something he can study at college if he isn't in college already.
