Well, just finished uploading some coin pics to my PCGS registry and wanted to share the lot with you guys. http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/publishedset.aspx?s=107423&ac=1 Let me know what you think! Hopefully I'll be able to get some more pics loaded before too long. Very time consuming process...
Come on, don't you want to see me succeed? Charles is looking at a 73-S Silver Proof that I picked up. I am hoping to get it slabbed for my FS-101 DDO slot. He's gonna get back to me.
Thanks, Lee has been a huge help while I have been putting together my set. One thing you'll notice is that he has a lot more higher grade Ike's than I do. 100% completion is possible, and I'm sure there are some that have complete sets, they just aren't completely uploaded.
This one is a '72 S Proof in its original Mint "hard pack" - had to take the pics at a slight angle to lessen the glare from the plastic. I think this is a Variety 2 so I believe it's silver and not clad; I can't see the edges to be sure. mmar
Good Luck! My recent experiences have been that the best time for PCGS to Flex their "conservative grading muscles" is when you submit an attributable DDO or DDR. The absolute best scenario, is to find one already slabbed as a 69 and submit it for attribution. BTW, I've got an "extra" MS66 FEV.............................(tease) (wink)!
The 1971-S FS-801 DDR-005 is next to impossible to find or at least it seems that way. Only 1 has been graded. It used to be in an ANACS PR68DCAM slab but PCGS downgraded it to a PR67CAM?!?.
Gives me a goal. Love to have one that I can take credit for finding. As for the FEV, if I had an extra $650 sitting around I would take you up on that... Shame I don't have it...
Last week I was in meetings in Salt Lake City and stop by a shop there. I asked the dealer if he had any Ike's he went to the vault and had a double rowed box with about 200 of them in 2x2's. I pulled these ones out for $2 ea. Not bad I need to go back now and look for talon heads, peg legs and etc. Let me know what you think, I was debating on send one in on a NGC submission that I am making next week on some large cents.
I really like the toning on those coins. Some may be grade worthy, but I can't tell from the pictures.
Wow just reminds me how much further i have to go...... http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/publishedset.aspx?s=105390&ac=1
