Hello Everyone... The most recent addition to the AGE collection. I feel lucky to have gotten this, although I am still upset that the individual coins (except the Rev Proof) will be distributed outside the set. This is the icing on the cake so to speak for my young son as he moves through life and will one day sell it(the entire collection) for school or a home..I have almost all the uncirc series together except for 10 of the 1 once coins. The proof collection is complete from the 1/4 oz and almost the 10 th oz 88-06. The platinum 10th oz set is complete both uncirc and proof 1/10 th oz and almost the 1/4 oz uncirc. Hi Rickie, To tell you the truth I just have to many collections going on at one time, for years I worked on my Jefferson nickel sets and I have several compleated. Now I am into everything just cant stop silver, gold you name it if it looks good to me I am off on a new set but that is our hobby.
Hey Bruce, I know what you mean. It took me a while to re-focus on the AGE series, Silver, gold and Platinum..it is a lofty goal and I hope to complete it one day. I am a long way off from that. The majority of my collection is and will be ongoing for a while. I do deviate at time to pick up the commem gold and silver. I also buy ASE in orig gov rolls 2-3 per year as just bullion investment. My safe is full and I need to clear out stuff...I did put together all the state qtrs for my son thus far with mint rolls and all issued sets for every year. Rolls of Sacs, and Kennedys as well. *** Notes from the BEP and other fine paper products. I have select Morgans from years ago..as well as select nickles, dimes and pennies..all cameo proofs from 50-64. It is hard to set your sights on just one series..so much to choose from. The doom and gloomers say buy gold and silver..I tend to agree with the economic out look fo the USA over the next 5-8 years and I have been doing just that. I am buying silver when it dips at 10.00 oz and gold when it is 550.00 or less. I just picked up the 2006 1/2 oz Plat Eagle uncirc...reports have it that less than 3000 have been minted this year! Hey Speedster.. The 1988 had a total mintage of 465,000 coins. Most of which went over seas as a form of debt payment...or so I have been told. No telling how many have been melted. They are hard to get in MS69 and above so I feel pretty lucky. Thanks for taking a peek. Have you seen the mintage for the 2006 uncirc Plat Eagles with the reverse design the same as this years proof reverse? Get em while you can...going to be an instant "W" rarity with less than 100 1/2 oz and 1 oz coins been made. Same with the gold 1/2 and 1/4 oz less than 500 :thumb: :eat: RickieB
Hey every one! I was just wondering if anybody knows if they will be selling the 2006 uncirculated gold and platinum coins with a W mint mark next year. I heard they will be selling these coins until next years coins are ready to sell. But, I am not sure how credible this information is.
