I'm talking about these specifically, the kind that stack with the pull out trays : http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...turm_us/Categories/US/US_2265/US_2269/US_2270 Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, I used the search function and didn't find anything about these specifically. If you do use them can you answer a couple questions? First of all do you like them? Second are they safe for coins ie inert, and third are the spaces deep enough to hold a coin inside an air-tite? I think they look nice and I really like that they are modular with so many tray options. I'm a type collector and think this might be a great way to store/display my collection Thanks! Brian
Yes, I use the Lindner trays that stack, I have many and have used them for years. I can`t comment on the air-tite things as I don`t use them and I don`t really think they are required. Depending on the size of the tray insert some of the spaces are deeper to accomodate thicker coins.I also use them for my war medal collection
Yes, I have had a tray set for probably 7 years and I really like it. You can mix and match the felt covered trays for either slabs or different size flips. The trays stack on each other as high as you want to build hem. They accomodate airtites. I haven't seen any coins tone in them that I have kept in there for that period of time. I use it for my raw coins and after it filled up I constantly rotate upgrades. Its a clean way for me to enjoy my raw coins and acts like a "box of 20" so to speak for my raw pieces.
Thanks everyone, Davey and Copper, that's what I was hoping to hear. If anyone has other thoughts, please chime in.
I use these: http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...s/leuchtturm_us/Categories/US/US_2281/US_2396 It's an amazing way to store coins of different sizes in the same case. I use the trays with raw coins as well as the 50mm cases with the custom 14-41mm rims. All inert, PVC free.
Thanks Raymond. I saw those too and like them. Everything I have is already in airtites, but I guess it would cost too much more to switch over... Hmmm
Hanging my head in shame. I just stuck some .50 caliber ammo cans with my collectible coins in them in the bottom of the gun safes.
