So I just won an auction that had this coin in it. While I wait to receive it so I can put the pictures up, I was curious if anyone knew of any others that existed and had any sort of rarity on it; i.e many produced not so rare error, or there are not many so it's a good grab...etc. Will update when I get the item with pics. This will be my first true error coin I have in my collection. (Hopefully). This was just a coin in the collection I bought, not the focal point, and I didn't pay much for it.
$30 for the whole lot. Has PR69 Madison Dollar 1897-1909 Indian Cents - nothing special, just regular cents 1909-1941 Wheat book...usuals removed from the book, but still some teens and twenties Two rolls of wheats...probably 40s and 50s, just more for the collection Two $2 bills...a 53 and 70 something Two sets of SBA's
Sounds like a good deal overall. The coin, if it is a struck through grease, is only worth a dollar or two maximum, though. Keep up the hunt!
Thanks for that non cents! To give a small update, the package finally shipped, so i should have it by Friday to post up the pics with a nice update.
Update - I have the coin in hand, I need to use my camera at work to take a good picture to upload it. Some of the In God We Trust is missing as well. On top of that, the book of wheat book that came with the auction, had a 1922 no D!
We would need to see pictures. It could either be a worn coin (normal for 1922) or a fake, but there certainly is a possibility of it being a no-D. Either way we will need pictures to make a determination.
Okay, here's the photos of the dime. I put my loupe on my camera and got the best I could. The last numeral is almost completely gone, but it's either a 0, 2, or 3, and the W from WE is almost gone as well.
Not trying to double post, just trying to figure a better way to post the images. See if they are "hover enlargeable"

That looks nearly abraded, by the pics. Looks like some go-getter @ the mint took polishing to another level.
