My First Coin.

    Have no memory of where I got this and looking at my writing on the envelope, where it still resides, I'd say I was still in grade school or maybe junior high. But it's been sitting around since the late 50s or early 60s. Never bothered to see what it might be worth but it's just one of those things that I never got rid of. Maybe one day I'll send it in for grading just to preserve it and see out of curiosity what it would come out at.

    I like the bust of Balboa on that coin - it's very well-done.

    Nice Balboa coin. No need to grade the coin to preserve it, put it in an airtite.

    They are nice. Bought this UNC one for about 40 US three months ago. Have been focussed on expanding my Balboa collection.

    It looks like it's been cleaned. I think you'd be better off just saving it in an airtight as it obviously has sentimental value to you, but if I'm right about it being cleaned you'll only get a "details" grade. NGC has a coin preservation service you might think about -- they essentially clean the coin. But since THEY do it, it's considered ok :)
