Don't have an answer either, but ... Have you tried contacting CIT, the company that designs and markets those pieces? See http://www.coin-invest.li or email them.

Thank you very much for your e-mail.

We’re going to the World Money Fair in Berlin next week. If everything runs well, we’ll present our follower of the Mongolian Swarovski coin.

At the moment we can’t let you know more details, but I’m sure after the coin show the new issue is known on the market immediately.

Hope to have been of assistance and wishing you a nice weekend.

    Best regards

Here is the 2013 coin from that series. Well, that hedgehog was cooler than this year's animal, the Argali sheep (ram), but the new one is still interesting. 500 togrog, silver (Ag 999) with Swarovski elements, mintage 2500.

Another Mongolian animal coin which may be interesting is the new "Wolf" piece. Have only seen pictures so far, but it seems that the shape is "cut" out of the metal. 500 togrog, silver (Ag 925?, gold-plated), mintage 2500.

Would not buy these myself, as my collection focus is a different one, but they sure are interesting.

Yeah ...I'm passing on this one as well ...too expensive ...the first (2) were a bargain ...the Hedgehog (3rd in the series) was twice the bargain price but still sold well on the secondary market ...this years Argali is selling at secondary market prices right out of the gate ....party's over.

just enter "2013 Mongolian Argali togrog" ...there's a few on ebay ....otherwise Power Coin and Paris Coin have them for around $500...give or take $10....
    Very neat coin though....

The wolf is one of the most unique coins I have ever seen!

Hate to nitpick, but a coin can not be the "most" unique. "Unique" means there's nothing else like it; it does not allow for degrees. Something is either unique or it is not; something can not be more or less unique than something else.

I love these designs. Truly unusual and interesting. My only gripe is the gem insets. Call me old fasioned, but i like coins without color or things glued on.

Wow, I love the howlin' wolf coin!! (they're all quite nice, but the wolf is certainly my favourite)

=> thanks for sharing ... somehow I haven't noticed this series until now!!

I hear ya man, I have seen a couple of these in person. They are very nice and impressive. I just personally draw a line in the sand is all.

Where does it end? Are those guitar shaped things one of the NCLT countries put out a coin? What about an Elvis statue? I bet you Liberia for a few bucks would agree to put a $5 value on a "fat elvis" statue and label it legal tender. Does that make it collectible by coin collectors? How about a $10 Tuvalu collectible plate?

I know these are extremes sir, I just say because of that, I PERSONALLY only collect items 100% metal, and struck for commerce. Plus, knowing my luck, the dang crystals would fall out of one of these. :(
