Another crappy day... went out with $7k looking to get 14 boxes, for a variety of reasons, only got 6... ugh.

    6 boxes, 5 40%.

I just got paid and bonused (although the bonus sucked) and that's currently boosting my bankroll a bit. Rents due soon, that will drop it a good bit, then student loans, then all my other bills... I don't make enough money. :(

Your last box also had 6 Roosies right? That is killer, almost an ounce out of $500 in dimes is unheard of.

Picked up a couple boxes of halves and a box of dimes. Asked them to order the halves for next week as well and it seems promising.
Box 1 - At least I've struck silver, I worked some of the box during lunch and have a couple 40's so far.
Hopefully box 2 and the dimes will also produce. Seems like a very promising source to continue to order from.

Went and got my weekly 2 boxes of cents and 2 boxes of nickels. Decided to ask about halves, they had none in back but the other teller overheard me ask and told my teller that he had like $9 in halves and gave them to my teller. As he was counting them out I thought I heard the *tink* of silver but knowing my recent luck I decided it was just nerves. I thanked them and went to my car. Pulled the halves out of my pocket and.....saw 13 40% and 2 90%!!!!!!

Now time to crack open the other boxes. Hope the nickels aren't brand new.

    - update - all the nickels are brand new 2012-P That's 3 weeks running that they have been brand new. How long can this go on?!?! At least the cents aren't new.

One of my supplying banks has been consolidating branches and well, closing several branches that are in close proximity to other branches - these banks merged back about 10 years ago and they are just now getting around to this. So last night I am looking on their website scoping out which branches are closing and notice a branch on a university campus that I had no idea was even there. So this morning I was there bright and early. Obviously no CRH's have been there in quite sometime.

I bought all the "extra" change they had piled up in CWR:
    $15 in cents:
    5 40s and 50s wheats
    1 BU 1968-S
    1 Dime
    2 Canada YH
    1 1967 centennial

    $100 in nickels
    25 pre-1960s
    1 '44-P Silver
    1 Canada GVI 1942
1 Canada QEII YH 12 sided
    3 Canada QEII YH round
    14 Canada 65-81

    $400 in Dimes:
    5 Silver Roosies - 1957-D, 1964(x2) 1964-D(x2)

$20 in halves - skink, skank skunk.

So I find all these goodies and bag them all up and tippy toe off to my friendly credit union where I dump them. On the way I stop by a candy store since this credit union has been great with taking all my "dumps" and saving goodies for me. I fill up the machine and bring the box of candy in and guess what...

The teller is jumping for joy, not sure if it was because of the candy, or that she was gleefully telling me about all the stuff they got last night that she was saving for me.

So she brings them out and drops them out on the granite counter, and oh that sweet sound of silver halves rings in my ears:

    8 40% halves, 1 1965, 2 1966, 2 1967 and 3 1968s

And a 1978 Ike, which curiously has been silver plated at sometime.

A good day, an improvement after the drought of last week - 14 silvers in one day.

Four boxes of halves: One 40%
    $10 CWR halves: Nothing

It's always funny to see what people think halves are worth. This was on a regular 1976D from one of the boxes:
    expensive half.jpg

Not too exciting, but then I got this for a dollar:

Just finished my third box of dimes ever and, finally, not a complete skunk. Pulled 3 silver Roosies ('46-D, '64, and '64-D). Tomorrow I pick up two boxes of halves...let's hope the streak continues!!!
