My personal opinion is F net VG details. Wait for those that know much more than me.

My amateur opinion of course. That said, I think the reverse has great detail and I like it. It's a neat piece.

I'm on board with fine details with the environmental damage. As for the Sheldon, it's not the overdate, so we can rule out the S-151. Which leaves a couple others it could be, the reverse crack that runs from the "E" in United, through the wreath and through the fraction will most likely reveal the attribution.

EAC grade: XF details, SCUD, net VG 8.

Large cents collecting, by most standards, is all about planchet quality -- and this coin has little to offer to that type of collecting, IMO.

I like the coin priced at about $100, but frankly I wouldn't take it at that price, but that's just me.

    Respectfully...Mike

Looks like a S-166 R-1, large 8 in the date and style 2 hair. That crack on the reverse is the giveaway.

Yes the crack is diagnostic, it is present even on the earliest use of the die. S-166

+1 on S-166 and I agree with Mike for grading, it's got great xf detail but I would net it down to vg with that corrosion.
