Question about the 5oz ATB quarter 2013........where ? when ? is it cancelled?

I am an old school world coin collector
but in the spirit of Chinese New Year, my son wants a 5 oz silver coin the Lunar ones have absurd premiums

I was wondering if anyone knew when or where I could order one 2013 ATB 5oz silver quarter

rumour has it the mint was sold out, then I hear they are not making any?

I am a trader by day, and a coin and silver collector for years and years, so I find it hard to believe that at 32.00 silver there is a mass shortage...... Id love to see one as I own oodles of it

but I hear a lot of rumours nowadays

Check provident metals for the 5oz lunar and ATB. I've never had a problem with an order. Very nice coins. Great company.


As far as them not selling the 2013s, I'm not sure.

 

The US Mint web site lists the 2013's as "On Sale Date To Be Determined" so I don't think they're taking pre-orders yet. You can still buy the 2012's from the Mint at : http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&identifier=8305
or eBay is good too.

 

As of today, the US Mint is only out of the Hawaii version. There is also an uncirculated version that you can buy from provident, apmex, and others for a bit less...

The US Mint version is a matte proof, the uncirculated version is more like a BU quarter. There was also another thread here with some more info. Hope this helps!

 

The 2013 pucks aren't on sale yet.

The 2013 ASEs are sold out for the time being, that may be the "rumor" you were referring to?

desite all the bullish or bearish stories recently the option volatility is as low as it has been since 2007

The 2013 pucks may not be sold until late in the year, the 20102's were all sold during the last quarter of 2012.
