Please tell me what type of error this is, and if it may have a value? Thanks!

I have a 2005 Westward Journey Nickel, "Ocean in View".
I appears to have a partial strike that leaves about 40% of the coin blank.
Can anyone give me any information concerning this find?
Thank you. mint error nickel 001.jpg

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Coin press lubricant mixes with other debris from the minting process and fills the voids of the die(s), the coin is the struck with what would appear to be a partially blank die. This is a common occurrence.

Thank you. Would this type of coin have any value other than face?

That one is a rather nice struck-through grease, I could see $10-15 on a good day if you put it up on ebay.
    Keep up the hunt!
