I wonder how much longer will the quarter proof sets (clad and silver) will last.

I like the 's' clads, even put them all in a cart when every roll was left since people were talking about them by that time. But none were bought. Couldn't get past the 'clad' part of it. :p

Also couldn't shake the feeling that 2013 will see new lows and so the only 2012 that really called out to me was the first one released, even that wasn't enough motivation. I'll re-evaluate for the 2013, but then there is the 2014...and so on.

    What a game!

I'm surprised the El Yunque is still selling for more than the other 4 with apparently lower mintages - price should adjust soon.

The 2012-P ATB 5oz Silver Quarters may be next. The Hawaii Volcanoes sold out a few days ago, so if the mintages are similar, the other 4 may go soon. If the mint suspends plans to sell these in 2013, the 2012’s will be the keys. The mintage is so low on all of these, you may feel like you’re trying to acquires keys, if you want to put a set of these together down the road.

    2 predictions:

    1. 2013-S quarters will sell in larger numbers than the 2012 versions did. This will happen because people had a chance to see the profits being made on ebay, and also because many people who bought the P-D roll combo last year will buy the P-D-S combo this year.

    2. The 2013 5 oz. coins (numismatic, not bullion) will set new lows for that series. The 2013 designs are less compelling and the $245 price tag is going to be tough for collectors to swallow.

    1. +1

    2. Maybe, if they sell them in 2013. Some of the 2013's had sales dates listed, now they're all on TBD.

Really? I think the Mount Rushmore is pretty cool looking.

I like Mt Rushmore too. But the Hawaii Volcanoes is tough to compete with.

Ft McHenry seems cheesey to me with the fireworks. And the others are nothing that grabs me.

Really! And, those "fireworks", ever see a bug splatted on your windshield?

There's a few dealers in my area that have the (S) P or D for .50 cents each with any purchase.

I don't remember what the first 2013 issue is, but it won't be in a three roll set.
It will come in two roll P&D and the S roll will be sold separately.
The three roll set will not be available until the second issue.

Take another look, 4th item on the product schedule - White Mountain 3 roll set $46.95. I belive they added this, as I don't think it was on the original schedule.

She said that despite it being on the schedule, it won't be available. Just passing along what I was told.
