Hey guys - I picked these up today at my local shop and was curious what your thoughts are as far as worth. Both have been polished according to the dealer (I'm not too good with the camera but both definitely have proof-like shine to them from I assume the polish). I'm still learning what is - and isn't - good to collect as far as quality goes, but I like the way they look, polished or not :) - just curious if these are trash from a collector worth standpoint, or if there is still some collectable value even with the polish. Thanks!

Well, they're in good condition (EF/AU) and aside from the fact that they are polished, I don't think that would decrease men's interest in pretty women.;)

They are one of the most beautiful coin designs, IMO, so you've got that goin' for you. Other than that, silver value.

Once those coins have been polished, they basically are worth melt value to most collectors. That's about $11.65 apiece at today's silver spot prices. Try and stay away from coins that have been cleaned or polished if your intent is to accumulate value.

But they would definitely sell for more than that on the 'Bay... probably in the $15 to $20 range. Of course, after expenses, you end with melt value anyway.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I kinda figured but I love the design, and for the price I payed (spot), I figured I couldn't go wrong.

That's a shame -- that would've been a good $200 worth of coins before the polisher got to them. But, yeah, still pretty, and I'd sure grab those for spot before I'd get yet another pair of 1964s or circulated Franklins.

Just me but the longer and longer I am a collector, the more and more I dislike cleaned coins.
