Chalk it up to him having a bad day. I know many here would not fathom it, but soldiers DO have to deal with open hostility to their profession, (or part time profession) at times. True story, I got pulled out of college for Desert Storm. It was about 4 weeks to go til the end of the semester. I had to go around to each professor and ask for a final grade. For my calc class, the professor was a former marine drill and said I was only getting an A- but "I think you would have pulled it out in the final, so I will give you an A". Then my sociology class. The professor was head of the, not only department but of the entire liberal arts college. I had actually taken his "pass out" test at the beginning of the semester and scored a 98, but didn't pass out of soc 101 since I wanted an easy class. My grade so far in the semester was an easy A, about 97%. His response? "I refuse to allow you to pass my class with any grade. I refuse to help baby killers". Unbeknownst to civilians, soldiers do get unwarranted open hostility at times. So, I would chalk it up to having a bad day and cut the soldier some slack personally.
I hope i don't get flamed for this but I have been watching this thread from the beginning and kept quite... ...maybe this was a scam from the beginning? I usually trust first but... food for thought.
