Hi all, I'm new to the site and coins in general. I ordered my very first box of $500 halves, picked up on Friday and went to work! From reading some earlier posts I wasn't really expecting to find much at all, but the results were at the very least encouraging

7x Kennedy 1964
1x Kennedy 1965
3x Kennedy 1966
3x Kennedy 1968
1x Kennedy 1969

3x Franklins 1950, 1952 and 1963 (one of these was on the end of a roll)

1x Walking Liberty 1941

Wow over three oz in one box

 

Pfft, no, I'm working right now. I'm a data entry grunt... well, just a little better than a data entry grunt, lol.

 

Box of dimes - one each roosie & merc
Box of nickels - 1 war, 2 dateless
$26.50 in halves - 2x 40%

 

TD is open today

 

Not only did the Pats have not so much to show for the effort....

heading back out today to pillaging TD for all they've got.

 

Had a pretty good weekend, ended up winning a few hundred $ in the tournament I fished yesterday. Maybe I can go thru a few extra boxes of coins this week.

Just finished up that box of nickels I peeked in on saturday that had the war ender. Results:
3 Wars- 1943p, 1945d, 1945p
2 Proofs- 1975s, 1998s
2 uncirculated- 1956 (looks to be full step), 1964
Foreign- 2001 Canada 5 cent
Pre 60- 29 total

 

Got an unexpected surprise at the grocery store the bank inside was open! Only had enough on me to get the 5.50 in halves (nothing but a few that had been on fire at one point) and 38 dollars in nickels but hey it's enough to get me throug till tomorrow!

 

I called the bank I got the box from to put in an order for a box of halves every week. The manager wasn't in so she'll call back tomorrow. I hope they don't mind! I also hope they get the halves from the same place as the first one!!

 

Just ordered $500 in dimes from a new bank, and they will be in on Thursday. I am also planning on asking for halves and Ikes, hoping for some results!

 

My dad and I searched 14 penny rolls today.We found 118 copper pennies, 3 wheat pennies,and a Canadian penny.I think we did pretty well this time.:smile

 

It's always more fun when searching with a loved one. :thumb:

 

good luck on getting those Ikes Pi man. they are tough to find

 

A box of penny yielded the following..
2010, 1983,1979, and the centennial 1967 canadian pennies.
1956 D, 1953 S, 2x 1952 D,1950 D, 1945, 1944, 1935, and a 1918 wheaties.
Still on the search for my close/wide AM varieties!..

 

Does anyone have wells fargo banks as a pick up bank, as in do/will they order boxes for you?

 

I pick up at a wells fargo, but just a single box of dimes per week. I don't have an account there and don't want to push my luck at the moment.

WF kinda sucks, they all cut me off at 2 boxes of halves a week... I need to start utilizing them for alternative coins besides halves. They're great for picking up CWR's too.

 

Called around to banks the other day...1 of them has $1,000 in Ikes! They will be mine. muahahaha
