My camera isn't great, even though at 16mp it should be better, and for some reason I can take a better pic of it with my 8mp phone. So here it is, my 22 no d that I got in an auction on the ebay, that the seller didn't realize was in the book I bought.

The D is seriously weak if even there at all. Take a look...tell me your opinions, won't hurt my feelings if I'm wrong, just another rarity for my collection of wheats if it isn't what I think it is.

To be honest if you hadnt said the date in the description, I wouldnt have even been able to make out the date. Much less determine whether or not it is a No D. The difference in price between a Weak D and No D is pretty large. If it is No D, congrats on a awesome find!

Thanks for that link! From looking at all the characteristics, it would appear that I've got Die Pair #3, as the reverse is rotated counter clockwise. And with my 10x loupe, there isn't any trace of the D at all, very smooth, so if there was a weak d there, it's all but gone from my eyes.

Since there was only one die pair for each, you have got to have all the characteristics. However, the rotated reverse is a very good sign. If that is really Die #3 no D, that could be a $500 coin. Congratulations.

I can't distinguish some of the other characteristics due to heavy circulation. This is gonna be one of my 8 to PCGS for grading.

I would strongly suggest you get good pictures of that coin or have someone look at it in hand before you get carried away. Those are some of the most counterfeited coins in existence.

Take a 10x loupe, and hold it against the lens on your camera, and adjust the distance between your camera and the coin to get as sharp and close up as you can, then take the pic.

    That's how I took these.

Better pictures are needed. Look at the die cracks on the reverse very carefully!
