Which one should I bid on?

    I don't like the look of that quarter in the mint set, to me the edge seems like it's gone beyond toning and is starting to turn black which is not a good sign.

    I don't know enough about the cent to be able to tell you anything.
    The quarter was damaged in the packaging process. It was hit hard by the heat sealing machine. Definitely NOT double struck by coin dies.

    I'd go with the large cent. There is much more history in something like that than a 1964 proof set.

    It certainly looks like it's been clipped but you will never be able to know for sure because the coin has seen so much circulation. I like both. If I had to go with one, I think I'd go with the cent.

    If you are **** bent on one or the other, then I think you are right in going for the large cent.

    Honestly--neither. I don't like the look of either one--the cent is beat up, and I don't like the toning on the proof set.

    Then save your money for something you really like. I also don't really like either one of them.

    Yes. I am pretty sure I spelled the word out and someone with a greater power must have come along and edited it.
