I have just purchased an ICG slabbed 1990W Eisenhower Commemoritive Silver dollar (Business Strike) graded MS70. Now I know there is a BIG probablity that because of subjective grading it might not grade MS70 by PCGS, NGC, or ANAC standards. But all that aside what do you guys and gals think this coin might be worth as is. I couldn't readily find any data on mintage numbers, but I did see where they were trading between 40-60 dollar, in ICG holders at Teletrade. The bad news for me, I guess, is that the same coins graded MS70 by NGC where trading well over 200 dollars. What do you think???
1990 1,144,461 1990-P Eisenhower Centennial PR S$1 1990 241,669 1990-W Eisenhower Centennial BU S$1 very beautiful coin, I like it more than the standard Ike Dollar, I think you can still find them for about what they cost at issue.
It would probably grade at PCGS/NGC as a MS69 coin, so you can assume that if you sent it to them, it would be worth what a PCGS/NGC MS69 slab fetches. Otherwise, it looks like about $40-$60 as it is now.
Thanks for the mintages. Now that I see that they didn't mint a million of them I'm very pleased. I only gave a little over 30.00 for it so I'm quite satisfied. What was the original cost 15-16 bucks?
PHP: What was the original cost 15-16 bucks? You know.. I don't know for certain, I didn't really start collecting until late 2003. I was just making the assumption that BU's have always been $33.00. Maybe it was $15 back in 1990.. now i'm wondering the release prices!!
