    I see what you are referring too. The weakness on the opposite rim from the curved missing piece. I have also just learned that this is more correctly classified as a incomplete planchet not clipped. The strip was not fully fed past the previously punched hole causing an incomplete planchet to be punch. The weakness on the opposite rim was caused because and even amount of pressure was not exerted due to the missing piece. Hopefully my explanation and understanding is correct.
