Anyone know about medallions?

Hey everybody! Anyone got ideas on what these are? Im guess that there like a participants medal from the 84' games in LA. Does anyone know if there worth anything or know of people who collect these. Its about 2" in diameter and weighs 78 grams. Not to sure of the composition. Just would like to know if I got something here or if its nothing. Got it with a lot of coins. So it was like a b:hailnus. Thanks everyone! -Josh
