I had several auctions finish last night on eBay and I am getting everything ready to mail out. One of the addresses is a little funny. In the line where the street and house number would go is what looks like long/lat coordinates. 1533 E 335 N -- that is what it looks like, I changed the numbers and letters a little, though. Has anyone ever seen this? I've sent the buyer a message checking if that's correct and how it should be written out on the envelope.
Never quite seen that, but you might try putting the correct address in Google maps and see what you get. You might even get a picture of his house.
Are you saying his/her location is in Longitude 15 degrees 33 minutes East & Latitude 3 degrees 35 minutes North? Planet Earth. or Longitude 153 degrees 3 Minutes East. Latitude 33 degrees 5 minutes North? Planet Earth..
There are addresses like that where I live as well. It's just rural county roads. We don't use fancy names for our dirt/gravel roads! lol
I see nothing wrong with the address at all other than the OP has probably never seen an N or NE at the end of a street name. This is quite common in some area's.
Special delivery with Parachute maybe...:thumb: Dropped & Delivered by Drone... No signitured required.
Not just in UTAH. In several surrounding states if there is a older Mormon Temple established in town when streets were laid out, they will be numbered from the Temple.
That was my first thought. Their numbering system is centered on the Temple (if I remember correctly).
Just sold a few coins to someone in Mt. Pleasant, Utah with a similar address. As stated above, that's the way they do it.... but I didn't know it until I read this thread.
Very common in Seattle Washington, 1535 (east) then 335 paces's, turn north, look for the UFO!!! Heck, just teasing-pretty weird
In many rural counties the roads are numbered on a grid system centered on the center of the county. Roads are typically a mile apart and are numbered from the center outward as 100, 200, 300 etc. House numbers are set at up to 1000 per mile. So the address you gave above would be for a house on the south side of the street (odd number) just over 1.5 miles east (1533 E) of the county center line on the east/west road that is 3 1/3 miles north (335 N) of the center of the county. I live in a rural county and once you get outside of town all of the addresses are expressed that way.
