Morgan Dollars, Help! Hello, these are two of the Morgans that I have in my collection. I am young at only 24 and do not possess the knowledge to accurately grade coins for value. all wisdom will be greatly appreciated. both passed magnet and weight tests. Thanks!!
This is a good book to learn about grading. Most all collectors use it. Your 87-O has a lot of wear to it, looks G-F. The 98, I can see a lot of contact marks, and some rub on it. Could go XF- AU.
Both common dates, I'd say $30 or so for the 1887 since its well worn. Maybe $35 for the 1898 since its in better shape.
