aa.jpg aaa.jpg I bought this UNC details coin at the FUN show for cheap. Take a guess how high it goes on eBay. Looks like it got caught in the garbage disposal, lol!

Are you sure that it's even a legitimate coin? It doesn't look right.

It's real. I got it from one of the well-known dealers that I trust.

I'll tell you when the auction ends, after I post the winning bid. Personally I bet it goes for over $100. Remember, this is eBay we're talking about.

You never know on eBay. It is crazy how much people over pay for coins on eBay especially bullion. People love buying common ASE on eBay for $40+ when most LCS sell just a few dollars over melt. I know its convenient to not have to leave the house, but it is foolish to over spend.

I agree! One summer I visited a coin shop while on vacation and was looking at a nice XF half from the 1850s or 60s that was marked for only around $20 but there was a hole in it. After talking with the dealer he pretty much said, no matter how long you own that coin, it will always have that hole in it. I left that day with 2 ASE's :D

I got two Anacs MS70 2011 Eagles for $40 each at my LCS. It amazes me people buy raw coins for such a premium.

I know this may be blasphemous to some of you experienced folk but I actually really like it. Has character and wears part of its story on its exterior.

I saw the coin on ebay before I saw it here and I thought it looked pretty dang cool.

I once paid over $5k for a coin that was holed, it was nicely repaired though

I would say it will sell for 225 on ebay :smile

$49.75 would be realistic, but you never know.

I often agree with this take on damaged coins, but in this case, the "part of the story" where it "fell on a paved road and was run over by motor traffic" is just too depressing. :(
