If this is fake, someone got snookered really good. Never buy a raw ungraded coin of this caliber. Hope the link works. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-BUST-SILVER-DOLLAR/251212793400?hash=item3a7d730638
Hmmm. A seller in china with zero feedback, selling a commonly counterfited high grade ultra rare coin, RAW. I don't know if I have seen a listing that screamed fake as much as this one. The buyer is a sucker a dumb one too. You cannot possibly be oblivious to that many red flags and to drop 100k? The epitome of stupid.
When eBay, in their infinite wisdom, decided to stop the sale of replica coins, the Chinese sellers of such merely listed them as genuine. Instead of alleviating the problem, they (eBay) compounded it. However, in this particular case, I doubt if the sale will be allowed by PayPal. Regardless, there are many, many unmarked replicas being sold on eBay as genuine. Kind of sad really...
Naw, this is just some folks messing around one way or the other. Maybe jacked accounts or something like that. That thing looks like play money, no way was there multiple bidders being that stupid.
"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold." Means the listing was cancelled before the end of bidding time (usually when item is sold outside of eBay). The top bidder might have not actually bought it.
This is exactly why I stay away from the expensive stuff. Zero feedback is enough to keep me away. I Actually just sold a lot of older silver coins I had lying around on ebay. The guy did the buy it now and has zero feedback, he hasn't paid, and I don't expect to see it. This really gets annoying on ebay. There is no way to filter out people with 0 feedback unfortunately
