Post your Lincolns!

At those levels, probably the prime driver for grade is luster. I find it difficult to read the luster on the second coin and that is complicated by simply by the use of 2 cameras. I am not saying the luster is not there but merely that it is hard to see and compare. Assuming the luster is there, I would think you have a shot. However, that is just a SWAG, but that is probably the best answer you can get

I will agree on that as far as the luster. It is as shiny as can be. Also, if you look at the details on the reverse of the coin I own, I have not seen too many that Lincoln appears that clearly within the memorial. Also, the steps are full and the vertical lines in the columns are clearly there. The obverse is free of any real contact marks. There are a few as in any coin but nothing at all distracting. You know I respect your opinions or I would not ask

 

From the pics the 68's strike appears notably better to me.. but could be the pics. Look at the detail in the hair and cheekbone and jaw.
Also, and again could be the pics, the 68 appears to have some frosted devices, where yours appears to present the famous gloss across all devices, where frost would impart much more eye appeal.. especially if the detail is in fact notably better.
I'd save your money from what I see... moving a 67 to 68 (w. population of 1) is a tall order for any grader to pull the trigger on, unless the coins is absolutely heads and shoulders above other 67's. RD to RB comparison (apples n. oranges), but the coin I posted above is a 66RB.

 

My favorite Lincolns have to be the steelies from 1943. My grandpa bought me a set of MS-63's from all three mints that is one of my favorite parts of my collection! (No pics yet, sorry.)

With regards to the new shield design, I think I like it. I mean, I'm so used to the memorial reverse, but the shield seems much more simplistic and symbolic. A lot like some of our older issues (Shield and Liberty nickels, Barbers, etc.) I think people will just need to get used to the new design.

Of course, the Wheaties are my favorite penny design of all! :yes:

 

It finally came in the mail today. The last hole to be filled in my Loncoln Memorial Cent album. The infamous 1970-s small date. I got it from the charming Penny Lady for $100. She grades it at MS65. It a good looker with full luster. Notice the very faint Y in Liberty and the top end of the nine comes in and points to the middle of the seven. Ok.... Guess now on to Nickels I go

Have a dumb question. Why does it show your set with PCGS coins getting no points? NGC recognizes my PCGS coins.
