Is anyone aware of after-market holders for proof and mint sets that are the same size, shape and material as the 5 1/2" X 3 1/2" plastic cases that the mint has used since 1968? I have some older sets that are in the old style cases with a linear configuration. These cases are too long to fit into the commonly available storage boxes. It would be very nice to be able to transfer these sets into cases with the more modern design, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere. I realize you can buy empty cases but the inserts don't always match the older 5-coin sets (half, quarter, dime, nickel, cent). I suppose you could make new inserts.
I've looked through the Capital Plastics catalog. I didn't see anything that size and shape for 5-coin proof sets. All of them are multi-set proof cases or linear arrangement cases.
