Box of halves started out great, '67 in first roll, '68 in third roll, another '67 in fifth roll, '57 Frankin somewhere between fifth and tenth roll, then another '67 between the tenth and fifteenth roll. A complete bust after that. Oh well, definitely not the worst box I've pulled!

    Summary:
    1 x 90%
    4 x 40%

    Respectable box...

Sounds like one of my boxes from tonight... 1 frankie, 4 40%. The other five had nothing. God, this week is horrible. :( Dumping all this on my new Loomis dump tomorrow, lol.

According to the dictionary, the definition of money laundering is: "to transfer (as illegally obtained money or investments) through an outside party to conceal the true source". How is turning paper money into coin and then back again money laundering? It conceals nothing, nothing is illegally obtained, there is no outside party, and there is no transfer. It's a simple exchange, cash for cash. You start with $1000 cash, you end with $1000 cash, with nothing in between. That bank guy can't seriously believe that every bank in the country that exchanges coin for cash and cash for coin is a money launderer.

Exactly. How is it any different buying a box of coin than a business buying coin for their register. If some thinks roll hunting is ilegal than so isn't buying coins to put in your own register. There is nothing illegal about it. You are buying something and it just so happens to be money. If you can go buy a bottle of liquor for say $20 why couldn't you buy $20 in coin for $20 cash. The person that said that is just iggnorant.

    Box #7 of Halves 1-40%
Box #8 of Halves This box appeared to have had the scatterings of a roll of extremely dirty coins included. It's as if a roll of halves were found in the sewer someplace and deposited. Ick. After scrapping the dirt(?) off the coins to verify the dates, the oldest was a bicentennial, two of the dirty coins were silver (1-'64 Kenny and 1-'58 Benny). The Kenny seems to have been 'discovered' by its prior owner because the edges were scrubbed clean yet still sent it on.
I washed my hand thoroughly twice after that box.

Bad news from Loomis dump, they want it rolled and bagged. I still think I can make this work for about 10,000 per week... but there is no way that I can reroll 20,000 per week.
