    1929, unless you mean individual mints, and that would be the 1911 D.

    I'm not sure why this is confusing. The question is not about five dollar gold.
    The question asks about the two and a half dollar quarter eagle.
    The 1911-D has the lowest mintage. So what is the second lowest?

    Just as a sidenote, I have a 1914 NGC AU-58 obtained in a trade. But I wish I had my traded coin back. It was a $5 gold pre 1900 coin that was bent but it was sold as a MS-64. That coin was beautiful and now I think I could have fixed the bend.
