I know you've posted about this before, but how do you put together your holders, esp. for your ancient stuff? I've ditched the cardboard 2x2's in favor of plastic ones, which works fine for my U.S. coinage (and some of my Canadian stuff), but I've got some Roman and Medieval stuff that need nice, new homes...
Jhonn, I just buy Harris/Whitman 2x2 holders for US coins but have found that 90% of foreign and ancients will fit into one of these 7 sizes perfectly. http://www.whitmanbooks.com/Default.aspx?Page=80&SubCatOID=17 For really small or odd-sized coins,I pick up airtite holders with the proper size foam inner ring, take out the ring and it will fit perfectly into one of two Harris holders..half dollar or sacagewea. The reason is that in spite of the fact that Airtight makes dozens of sizes, the outer rings for smaller sized coins only come in two sizes. The labels are done on MS Word and glued over the labels on the holder that are for Date, condition, denomination. Easy...........Welcome back by the way.
Pending on the value of the coins you could always put several small coins in a dollar or half dollar 2x2. I've done this with many smaller foreign coins and it works well. For example if they fit put 3 in a triangle in a dollar 2x2.
Thanks for all the info. Luckily (or rather unluckily?), I don't have too many ancients to work with. Yet...
