http://gmmannualmedals.cdbpdx.com/tn-600_AM_1993_Edge-101.JPG The link above shows my first attempt to photograph the edge of a large medal using the reflector technique. I took the cone shaped reflector from a large flashlight and placed the medal in the bottom. The edge was reflected in a mirror image around the medal. Then, I masked the medal and vertically flipped that part of the image, then flipped the entire image to get the right perspective. Works great! Apparently, some folks have been doing this for a long time, it just took me a while to figure out that the flashlight had the perfect reflector. I just thought I'd share my revelation with the group. Sometimes, the simple things can be the most fun! CDB
