AWESOME Half Dollar roll search!!

holy crap. i thought finding wheats in penny rolls was something.

i need to start buying half dollar rolls.

I have recently gotten 4 boxes of halves at the bank. Started out like gangbusters, box #1 contained 45 40% and 3 90%. Came to a screaching halt with box #2 - 2 40% and 1 90%.

Just went through box #3 and it was 99% of soley 97D's. Some were very nice, AU, but still no silver. Opened box #4 and it appears to be exactly the same. Not sure what to do with them. Any suggestions? Search it and hand pick the real nice ones for re-sale. Sell by the roll as is and let someone else search them? Or just simply return to the bank?

 

Unless you have a low-overhead way of selling them, in my opinion it's not worth the effort. They probably won't go for more than $11 or $12 per $10 roll on eBay, which after fees and hassle you'll be lucky if you didn't lose money on the deal.
