Here is a candidate for the "laugh of the day", too bad its so sad:

Someone paid $187 for a couple of modern fakes (not even original dies restrikes, which are also considered counterfeits, but might be worth a few bucks) and a banknote worth $1.

 

It was a private listing. Probably transferring money from one person to another.

 

Some sellers make all their listings bids private. In this case there might have been something behind the curtains, yes.

I noticed he has relisted the nickel 5 times, all for the same price. He must be "fishing" or not knowing what it's worth.

Had to throw this in there. It's a "clad quarter roll" with a SLQ on the end. Now since the date isn't showing, how on earth would the seller know it's clad? Oh ya, they do...

You just cannot make this stuff up... seller list coin, bidiot buys it, then auction somehow goes poof, but bidiot contacts seller. Best part is bidiot doesn't have the funds to pay seller via payPal because bidiot's account was shut down for having a negative balance for 60 days. So bidiot has to pay seller via a money order, but cannot do it until Tuesday because bidiot doesn't have the funds yet.

 

Do you feel the need to throw things back in my face?

Does it make you feel better? Does it give you a smile? Do you sleep better at night knowing you insulted someone? Does it give a buzz, or a rush of euphoria?

Are you that bored that you have nothing else better to do, than to criticize someone on an unrelated thread?

Has your mind such ran out of the spirit of creativity for numismatic discussion, that you have resorted to taking pot-shots at members? Is that all you have left to do?

Grow up, and stop acting like a bully, this behavior might be expected from a 10 ten year old, but I really think your old enough to have outgrown this childish behavior.

 

That is un called for Detecto. I think your being a bully. This is the Ebay laugh of the day thread, hence things people find funny regarding Ebay. Scottishmoney happens to find that listing and the circumstances regarding it funny. You should apologize to him.
