1972 DDO Half Dollar

    Maybe I'm just missing it, but I am not seeing anything other than a coincidental hit on the 2.

    I believe I see doubling on the U, S and perhaps the T

    is not a DDO.. its die deterioration. Look at the shelving.

    Looks like there may be some die deterioration doubling like Jim mentioned. But I am not seeing any splits or notching, so I would say not a DDO.
    keep up the hunt!

    Hey thanks guys i checked the reverse die markers and they don't match,no reverse die scratch between E and R.

    Where did you find die markers for a 72 DDO half dollar? I looked at my CONECA listed 72 DDO-001 and I see the marker you described...but there are no markers listed anywhere that I can find.

    I see the two die markers on your coin, the die scratch through the E and R.Great photo shot.

    I googled it and someone had a CONECA photo link on a forum.
