One expensive counterstamp...

I've never seen a counterstamped copper bring this much.

Is it some kind of well known, yet rare stamp?

Since you can't really make out the name Detecto its value is limited so the current bid of $227 is good for this coin. I suspect the real attraction here is the well struck eagle which is always attractive to counterstamp collectors...including myself. I do like it but have no plans to bid on it. While this is a decent price for a copper, they do sell for much more. Some get 3 or even 4 times this much depending on its history. The sky is the limit when serious collectors get in a bidding war.

What OP is actually asking is....should I buy this and then try to flip it, adding his professional photo skills to his listing.

Seems to be a repeating theme with OP lately.

Asks opinions about listings, buys them, photos them , then relist. So far looks like he has lost money on these flips.

This from a person who just months was basically begging for a "free" redbook so he could check the values of his rossies so he could sell them. Of course, a kind soul in CT sent him one.

Since then, the OP has spent many, many thousands on coins & bullion on ebay (including a 19.99 engagement ring...she must be thrilled) & even became a "supporter" to CT.

The inquesitive minds want to know. Has OP hit the lotto, found a job, an inheritance, BIG sugar momma (he is in love), or has there been some robberies/ home burglaries in the Galesburg, Illinoise area in last two months.

Most likely another infraction for me but oh well.

I think you should focus your vast amount of free time basking under your fluorescent lights doing something more constructive.
