This thread is more than a year old. But now I finally have the first coin of my Halloween coin collection!
The current issue of The Numismatist has an article on Vlad the Impaler, and some samples of his coins.
I can get all the coins I want with Halloween images. The town I grew up in used to produce valueless coins every Halloween to toss out at the local parade. I simply have to go back home around the month of October to my hometown, the Halloween capital of the world. Any guesses where that might be?

You're right. Why they think they should be the Halloween capital of the world has always been beyond my comprehension. I guess nobody else wanted it. Good old Anoka. Garrison Keillor hails from Anoka and he never seems to mention the Halloween connection. BTW Was just behind the cheese curtain recently and everything was so...so yellow.
