Now that Canada is melting down all the pennies should soon be worth $1.00 each for what is remaining. Who would have ever thought.

What's the basis of your pricing? That would mean I would have about $20 too

There's no way that they will ever be worth $1 each. They were minted in the 10's of millions and will be worth about what common Lincoln cents are. There's about 2.2 cents worth of copper in those before plating started ... that's what they will be worth.

If a Canadian penny is worth a dollar, I don't know how you are still receiving electricity to connect to the internet - thieves would have been pinching copper wires like they are cheap gold.

Ok, so I have 2 full rolls of canadian pennies. By this logic, I have $100 worth of coins found from roll searching and getting them at face value? JACKPOT!?!?

Wait, if a Canadian penny is worth $1, can I trade a Canadian penny for 100 more Canadian pennies?

DO NOT do that, Tyler. This action might make you a billionaire after a few trades, but it will most definitely cause a rapture in space-time continuum.

Come on guys, get real. 95% of all the normally circulated copper pennies are worth less than 5 cents each, and then only if you are selling them as scrap.... higher grades certainly more. Once the plated pennies started, they are now, and always will be, worth 1 cent. Where on earth did this 1 dollar fiasco start? Just because a single person puts something on the internet doesn't make it rue, no matter how hard that you wish.

My pail of Indian head pennies must be worth $1 each they are just copper to, it might take a while as given enough time all pennies will be worth $1.

Might want to compare the mintages between your IHCs and the Canadian cents you're referring to. And not all your IHCs will fetch $1 each.
There have been almost 150 years of Canadian cents (large and small). Many are worth much more than $1, and most are worth much less.

Even with the government melting them, there's still way too many to go around. Think about how much junk silver has been melted, and how much of it still trades at melt.

Clearly everyone commenting here except the OP is being heavily sarcastic.
