I was wondering if anyone could give me some information onthis note. I’m not sure if it is a typeI or II or if it’s rare or not. I paid$80.00 for it and I’m not sure if that is a fair price. Thanks

This would be a type 1, a type 2 would have the charter number printed in the same rust colored ink and it would be next to the serial number. I don't know the scarcity of the note, sometimes a serial number under 1000 means you're in good shape. For the condition, I think you did well. To know for sure, you should check nab census.com to see how many have been reported.

There are almost 200 1929 notes known from that bank. That is very high. However, considering the strong paper and the eye appeal, I think you are in it at a good number.

Based on Heritage sales you are in the right ballpark. They have sales for seven Type I $20.00 since 2004 in various grades. The sales of notes with similar grades were in the $60-80.00 range with the most recent sale being in 2011.
