Totals and comparison to 2011 2012 totals were very different than 2011: USA first: Dimes: 477 roosies 62 Mercs 6 Clad Proof Roosies Quarters: 177 Washington, 4 SLQ Halves: 250 40% 39 '64 Kens 23 Frankies (2 of which are proofs) 5 Walkers 1 Barber 19 Proof halves (including 2 SOL proofs) 3 peace Dollars 2 1/2 dollar 1929 Foreign: 8 Canadian 80% dimes Canadian 50% dime 3 Canadian 80% quarters Canadian 50% quarter '53 Balboa (Panama) 1896 25 Kopeck (Russian) Various Nickels, etc. Way fewer 40% halves, which I will have to expect as more searchers look. the 2 1/2 piece was a shocker. Also Sandy significantly cut into my searching. But the bad part was there was no "major" halves find. My best halves find in 2012 was 36 40%, 3 '64 kens & a frankie, while in 2011 it was 119 40%, 21 90% kens! We will see what 2013 brings, but if I had to guess, my totals will fall. The country is just getting searched out, and soon it won't be worth the effort. We will see.

FTB, thank you. It is easier to view it all in one thread. I did have a decent year, but it was a drop off from 2011. The numbers are there, unless you will argue that the 2 1/2 is the same as finding 200 40%ers.

I really think I would have been able to do it if I was only able to keep my volume up from September/October. Still, it's been a pretty phenomenal year with some really amazing finds: a CWR of solid war nickels, a CWR of all BF and WL halves including the 38D, 5 solid CWRs of 40% and 90% halves, 29 clad proof territory quarters, a $1 gold piece and an 1875 seated liberty, and lots of enders including a double walking liberty and a double buffalo nickel. And of course about a coffee can size bucket of foreign, tokens, and random bits of jewelry or other exonumia. I would say that even though I didn't get as much silver as some other folks, I'm really happy with the overall variety of finds I came across. I purchased albums for mercury dimes, silver washingtons, silver roosies, wheat pennies, and I've filled most of them at least halfway. And I was lucky enough to find everything I needed for my Jefferson album this year, except for the 50D and a 43D war nickel. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's results. Maybe if I get bored I'll tabulate all the foreign junk I found (I keep it in my CRH notebook but not my spreadsheet) in case anyone's interested. Here's hoping we all have prosperous 2013s!
