Just picked up one of the Aussie "Seasons" coins at an auction for under Perth Mint price, and love the design. Mintage of only 5,000. It definitely stretches the definition of a coin as we are most used to them--round, spherical objects that could fit in a soda machine. Well, I love the concept:

The Numismatists just had an article a few months ago about all of the multi sided coins made for commerce, (not NCLT). THey had them from triangles up to about 40 sided coins.

Definitely a two-dimensional spheroid type figure for a traditional coin, to be precise. Actually, since I do have my Masters in Biochem, and worked as a weapons officer in the Navy, you might say I am a "rocket scientist." lolol
