Okay, thanks for those who participated! The only hint I will give is that one person is less than half a pound from the actual weight

 

Darn it! I knew I should have guessed in half pound increments. If I had, this would all be over.

bonbon, why would you guess like that after a great clue was given? the only other answer thus far in the 30 pound range is 32.6. If you really thought that was within less than half a pound, you could have covered that with 2 guesses and had one left over to guess something else.

hahaha I hear you (although the guess is less than .5 lbs off, so it could be .4 or .3, however there are numerous guesses in the ballpark)

 

Oh, another slight clue to those who have not guessed yet. Someone with a bit of canniness ought to be able to use skill and with a bit of luck win this contest. The anticipation is reaching a crescendo. I almost can't stand it anymore!

 

Looks like about 85 rolls to me, which weigh about 17 pounds per 50 rolls, so I'm going to guess:
