How do you tell the mint of a presidential dollar coin roll without opening the roll when they have the mint mark on the edge. I have several rolls that I do not want to open if they are from the Philadelphia mint as I only need the Denver mint for my collection. They look like they have been wrapped straight from the mint by a third party. I see these wrapped rolls on Ebay and they always state which mint they are from but how do they know? I have looked these rolls over closely and I cannot discern which mint they are from without opening it. Below is an example of the wrapping of the roll.

Ah, the old shell game. Flip a coin.
I bought mine directly from the mint. Much better labeling.

I look at the code and what I wrote on the end of the mint box I got them in.

The OPs rolls didn't come in mint boxes like that.

Well then there is no way to tell until he opens them then. The OP rolls are mint wrapped in the String and Sons wrappers but could be either mint as I used to be able to get rolls from the bank to spend.
