Hello all, I found this so called sandwich coin? or railroad rim? dime at my workplace....It is very interesting, the first I have ever seen close up, the two nickel layers show on the rim, even, and in the middle is the copper core, which is sunk in, much like that of a euro cent , but it still has the reeding in tact, on both the nickel parts (2) and the copper. Any ideals of what I am talking about? and I would give this coin a grade of EF-12 , Anybody know a potential price for a coin like this, or how much premium is regarded for this type of error.
Sorry - values for errors is not something I am very familiar with. I can help identify them some of the time - but I'm not much help when it comes to values. You might try the folks at Error World.
