For the grade I want prices from both Numismedia and PCGS indicate around $100. But sellers are asking $200+ for anything decent for the grade.

Here is one I found in a slab cheap. How did this make the problem free slab? There are scratches all over it.

What are you calling scratches on that coin?

You're addicted to an expensive series. Out of curiosity I perused the eBay listings and decided that if I every collected a CB quarter type coin, I'd probably want to drop around 500.

Looks like a long staple drag going across the LIBERTY. Also a bunch of little scratches to the right and above the eagle's head.

    Could they be die cracks????

This is die marriage B-5, which pairs obverse 3 with reverse K. It is very well-known for the several major die cracks on the obverse. The one going through LIBERTY is not a staple scratch, but is a die crack diagnostic of the die variety. The small ticks and nicks on the reverse are normal circulation wear and are completely consistent with a coin of this age and usage. There is nothing major wrong with that coin.
