Right now I am thinking it is coppercoins.com die 6... A class IV+IIX...check for the markers. Cool find!

Definitely not MD. Look at the extra thickness and distortion in LIBERTY.

Here's a link that will help you better id this variety, go down to 2011 1 cent WDDO-005 they also cross reference coppercoins .com die #6 http://doubleddie.com/431101.html. Obverse T1.jpg

I am not so sure this is a doubled die...when I look at the ER of LIBERTY, in your close up photo, it looks like MDD to me, no notching. I don't see any seperation lines either.

This variety also known as coppercoins.com die #6,one of the characteristics of die #6 is distortion and extra thickness in LIBERTY,light separation lines and notching are minor.Look at BER in LIBERTY notice how the letters appear to be distorted and very thick with mdd the doubling is flat and shelf like. I,m sorry but all I see is flat shelf like in your second photo. I don't see any seperation lines, or notching. I don't think this matches at all with the doubled die you keep talking about on Wexler's page or Coppercoins.

    What do others think?

All I see is MD – flat shelf on both sides of the lettering. None of the DDO’s at the link posted match the OP coin.

How do you explain the distorted letters BER in Liberty, they have a twisted like look i have not seen this with mdd.

Not sure what twisted look you see – I see several hits/marks on the letters. Still the most prevalent thing I see is major flat machine doubling all around the letters. Do you see something other than this definite MD?

Look at the difference in thickness between the horizontal bar and the verticle bar in the T in liberty. Compare them to another 2011 and you'll see the difference. The OP's coin shows nice extra thickness in LIBERTY and including some of the letters in the motto.

There might be some extra thickness, but without a comparison, can't see it. The posted link to Wexler mentions die markers - are any of the die markers present? I don't know, is it worth getting certified?

I think what some might see as flat shelf like doubling is actually the side walls of RTY,take a close look at these new photos taken from straight over the coin instead of an angle.Wexler is using a stereoscope my photos will not look like those on the website and for the die markers most will not show up on my photo. I still only see MDD with no seperation at all and no notching.

There is no separation. It is extra thickness.
