OMG! Die cracks on a worn 1895 o!

    To all those who are wondering what the point of the thread is, I just thought it was kinda cool that a better date coin, albeit worn, had noticeable die cracks in a prime focal area.

    It looks like scratches to me. I do see what you are saying about the lines being raised, but that is just the metal that was displaced by the scratch. If it were a die crack, the metal that was raised would have been worn away over time on the highest points but should be clear in the fields. The fact that the line is consistant throughout tells me that it is just a scratch. Good eye though, I didn't see anything the first time that I looked at it.

    If it is that worn, it won't. I think the coin would be details no matter whether it was a die crack or a scratch, as it is probably low level G at most.
