trade dollar 1876 carson city

hello all,
I have this coin and I wanted to know if it's genuine or a fake (I have no reson to suspect its a fake but I would like to know for sure).
if you can tell by the picture its great, if not, I would be glad to be refered.

I'm sure that it is fake---looks to be a cast copy.

Exactly what speedy said. Sorry. There are many many fake trade dollars out there.

 

You know, before buying such coins, ALWAYS READ ABOUT IT BEFOREHAND!!!

Unless you don't mind buying a copy, chances are that you arne't going to get an original for a steal. That RARELY happens.

 

trade dollars are so hard to find, When it comes time i plan on buying one already slabbed... for peace of mind.

 

unfortunately, I agree that it is a cast copy. The surfaces are just wrong and the design elements don't have the sharpness that they should.
