    Agreed, but several other pieces shown in this topic are not nazi coins either. ;)

    Is it safe to say that any Nazi coinage will always have the swastika in the design somewhere?

    By and large, yes. The early ones did not have it yet; later the swastika was displayed quite prominently. Since the nazi regime began in January 1933 and ended in May 1945, you can tell from the date whether a coin is a "nazi piece" or not.

    No, that is not the case. Just pull out your KM and you will see there were coins made in the era without swastikas. Swastikas are just popular with collectors.

    The Schiller & Luther 2 & 5 marks are swazi-free. The 1 mark coins and the wheat pfennigs as well.

    This is correct. In fact, for some denominations...the previous Weimar design was minted for a few years into the Nazi regime. The Nazis came to power in 1933 but some designs were not changed until 1936.
