I just can not tell with my magnifying glass if any of my 72's are type 2? They seem to be blobby LOL But they may be 3's I do not know I fig I would let a coin dealer check them out or someone else. I do not think I can even get a close enough pic with my camera for you guys to check. As far as the other verity's Heck there are so many that I did not even check. Is one of the bicentennial type's worth more Than the Other? And I see a claw so called claw I did not check them for that either.

What I was really hoping for was a few OLD SILVERS Mixed IN. No one said they had to be all Ike's I just asked for large dollars and she said yea I have 200.00 in large dollars. Because one day when I was at that bank and they opened the coin machine in the trash were a bunch of old silver dollars. I tried to get them and the lady would not budge said I could catch something from that bin and it had to be put in garbage with gloves that they have found teeth and everything.. If I would have been thinking I would have said hey why are the coins I just put through going in the garbage part and got those silvers. Every time I fill a bag in the machine I always try to look when they open the door at that bin Now. And the other day I even grabbed the bag of halves they sat down while putting in the new bag to look for white ends I did not see any. I have not tryied to buy a bag yet And I do not think they would do it anyways. Unless I saw like 50 whites then I would offer the manager money to sell it to me.

I also went to another bank and asked for what they had and she gave me $110.00 worth of CWH I think one of the tellers had already gone through them they were in dated order mostly.

Sorry this is so long but I was thinking of putting the rest of the IKE's on eBay maybe for 10% + selling fee's and see what happens I know a lot of folks can not find them And I do not mind sharing.

I have several dozens of the bicentennial bold lettre variety coins from bank finds. I lost count of all the Ikes I have been accumulating since I started buying them at face many years ago.

If any of the rolls are 1971 or 1972 and the coins seem to be nice UNC, I know of at least one person that would be interested in buying them

I would think a 40% silver Ike would be worth significantly more than $2. I mean it has what, around $9 worth of silver in it? (I'm assuming it is 40% silver because it doesn't look like a proof and all the business strikes are 40% silver.)

I thought that too, but upon closer examination it just seems to be a proof photographed with just the right lighting and angle to hide almost all the reflectivity. Look under the 74 in the date and you'll see the mirrored field.

Ot the PL fields sometimes seen on the 40% uncs. The rims don't look good enough to be a proof.

I used to use the non silver ones as part of my tip when I went out to eat. The young folks got a kick out of it.

I do not think it is guys. It has 3/4 of the rim is copper and the other 1/4 is silver color so I say Proof Just reg 1974 S. I ran a cotton sock over it for finger prints and popped it in a air tight. I would like to take it out if possible and do a light cleaning with soap or alcohol .It has a lot of scratches around the outside from circulation.

OK in that picture it looks like a proof, Coppernickel clad proof.

MMS-1 is fairly common on the 1974-S CnClad Proof as well as all the other mintmark varieties.

    Use this:

    1974 MintMarks-Text Arrows.jpg

MMS-2b is the rare one with the indent on the left of the upper loop in conjunction with a split serif on the upper right. Typically, they look like "filled" mintmarks.

Sorry about the size of the photo.
