Guess the grade on my new gold coin. It is ANACS certified.

A Beauty :D I'd say MS-63 (gold is a soft metal and some hits are forgiven that would ding a silver piece.) I love it :D

    Thanks for posting it

If that is wear AU58 but if that is just the photo I would say MS63

Too many contact marks for me to call it a 63, so I'll go with a 62.

    I'll guess MS61/62.Not 63 IMO.

I'm not sure what anacs graded it, but it looks like a 62 to me.

Looks like contact marks from being circulated. My guess AU 55-58

I think there's a little wear and I'm going to say AU58, but it's hard to tell from photos (about the wear). If no wear, I'd go MS62. Thanks for posting. It's a great coin!

I suck at gold coin grading. Just ask Cameron from ICG. :)

Cameron is one of the best graders I know---I've gotten a good many coins from him and he always nailed the grade!

It is graded AU-58, and is in an old "ANA Official Grade" holder from 1989. I think it would upgrade to MS-62 if I cracked it out and sent it to NGC, but I am not going to because I like the old ANA holders.

Anything is possible, but I doubt it would upgrade Charlie. The luster breaks on the reverse would almost certainly hold it to AU. Just my honest opinion.

He was very nice and friendly. Really took the time to explain why certain marks on gold doesn't subtract from the grade, luster, etc. I'd love to just sit and have a personal grading session for a hour or two.
